On February 1, 2016, Edward Flowers, a 42-year-old Black male, was fatally shot inside a social club located in the 500 block of South Cicero Avenue in Chicago's Austin neighborhood. The incident occurred during a confrontation between Flowers and another man, 33-year-old James Green.
