Frank William “Dale” Landingin, a 19-year-old male from Chicago, Illinois, tragically lost his life on November 12, 1978. His disappearance was first noted on November 4, 1978, and his body was later discovered in the Des Plaines River at Channahon in Will County. The cause of death was determined to be asphyxia, as investigators found that a pair of bikini briefs had been forcibly stuffed into his throat.
