Death by Force

On the evening of August 18, 2023, 16-year-old Khaaliq Williams was fatally shot in Chicago's Garfield Ridge neighborhood. At approximately 7:50 p.m., Williams was standing on the sidewalk in the 4400 block of South Lavergne Avenue when an unknown assailant opened fire, striking him multiple times. He sustained several gunshot wounds to his body and was transported to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
