Jaivon "King Jay" Rhymes, a 30-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on January 15, 2022, in Chicago, Illinois. Jaivon was fatally shot while sitting in a vehicle in the 9200 block of South Normal Avenue in the Brainerd neighborhood. According to reports, four individuals approached the vehicle and opened fire, striking Jaivon in the hand and head. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the authorities.
