Jamal Owens, a 37-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on April 6, 2022, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred around 10:50 a.m. in the 7800 block of South Sangamon Avenue, a neighborhood on the South Side of Chicago. Owens was found with a gunshot wound to the head and was immediately transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
