Devonsha Conquallin Collier, 35, a Black male, was shot in a daylight ambush on Saturday, October 25, 2025, in Chicago’s Little Village neighborhood. He and two other men had just bought car parts and were walking back to their vehicle in the 3100 block of South St. Louis Avenue when two gunmen jumped from a silver four-door Honda—one in gray with a rifle, the other in black with a handgun—and opened fire.
Detectives later counted roughly 60 spent rounds at the scene, including 33 rifle casings and 24 nine-millimeter casings. Collier was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition and was pronounced dead early Sunday morning. The other men, ages 39 and 42, suffered gunshot wounds but were listed in fair condition at Stroger Hospital.
