Randal Wilson, a 65-year-old African American man, was tragically shot and killed on August 26, 2022, in the East Garfield Park neighborhood of Chicago, IL. The incident occurred around 7:20 p.m. when Wilson was standing near the front of a residence in the 400 block of North Hamlin Avenue. According to the Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office, Wilson was shot in the chest and subsequently transported to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
