On April 12, 2022, Rayvell E. Lofton, a 20-year-old African American male, was found dead inside a home located in the 600 block of Saint Andrews Circle in Rantoul, Illinois. The Rantoul Police Department responded to a report of a possible shooting at approximately 7:50 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered Lofton's body inside the residence.
