Robert McKinney Jr., a 28-year-old resident of Rantoul, Illinois, died on May 26, 2024, following a domestic incident. According to Champaign County Coroner Stephen Thuney, McKinney was pronounced dead in the critical care unit at Carle Foundation Hospital at 7:51 a.m. on Sunday.
