Carlos B. Navarrete Jr., a 24-year-old Hispanic male from Rantoul, Illinois, tragically lost his life on February 26, 2022. He was pronounced dead at approximately 12:45 a.m. on Sunday at a local hospital after sustaining a gunshot wound. The incident occurred late Saturday night around 11:45 p.m. on Garrard Street.
