Jayquan Sanders, a 16-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on April 27, 2022, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred in the West Garfield Park neighborhood, specifically in the 3900 block of West Jackson Boulevard. According to reports, Jayquan was shot in the head by an unknown assailant from a passing white van around 4:20 a.m. He was immediately transported to Stroger Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
