On December 11, 2024, 23-year-old Donell Tyrell Gause Jr. tragically lost his life to gun violence in Chicago, Illinois. Originally from Decatur, Illinois, Donell was born on December 31, 2000. His passing has left a profound void in the lives of his family and friends, who remember him for his vibrant spirit and the joy he brought to those around him.
A celebration of Donell's life was held on December 21, 2024, at the Main Street Church of the Living God in Decatur.
The service provided an opportunity for loved ones to honor his memory and find solace in their shared grief. In lieu of flowers, the family requested memorial contributions to support Donell's daughters, with donations directed to Hickory Point Bank and Trust in the name of Amy Meyer.
