During the altercation, Brandon Loza Estrada, a 29-year-old male from the West Lawn neighborhood, allegedly pulled out a firearm and began shooting.
Juan Antonio Gonzalez-Ramirez was shot in the lower chest and was subsequently pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Hospital. Another individual, a 20-year-old male, was also shot twice in the right leg but survived the incident.
Following the shooting, Brandon Loza Estrada was arrested and charged with the murder of Juan Antonio Gonzalez-Ramirez.
