Jacob Perales, aged 18, was tragically murdered on August 31, 2016, in San Antonio, Texas, just a day after celebrating his birthday with his family. The incident took place on Piedmont Avenue on the southeast side of the city. Perales had gone for a walk but never returned, which prompted his family to search for him. They eventually found him with severe head injuries and immediately called 911. Unfortunately, despite their efforts to assist him, Jacob was pronounced dead at the scene.
Following the investigation, the authorities conducted an autopsy which confirmed that Jacob had died from fatal injuries to his head. Despite interviewing several people connected to the case, the police were unable to establish any solid leads, and the investigation soon grew cold. Since then, Crime Stoppers has continued to seek information from the public to help solve this case, even increasing the reward for any leads that could result in an arrest from $15,000 to $20,000 on the fifth anniversary of his death.
Jacob's death left his family and the community devastated, and they continue to hope that someone will come forward with information to bring those responsible to justice. San Antonio police and Crime Stoppers have encouraged anyone with information about the case to contact them, offering anonymity and a potential cash reward for helpful tips.
