As they traversed the bridge, a small two-door vehicle—described as maroon, dark blue, or brownish-copper in color—approached on the access road and came to a stop. An individual exited the vehicle and fired two shots, the second of which struck Carlos.
Despite immediate attention, Carlos succumbed to his injuries at the scene. His sister witnessed the tragic event, adding to the profound grief experienced by his family and friends.
