On October 16, 1983, 48-year-old Richard "Dan" Edmonson was found dead in San Antonio, Texas. In the early morning hours, a University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) security guard discovered his body lying on John Peace Boulevard near Loop 1604. Edmonson had suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the head. Evidence suggested he was shot elsewhere and his body was subsequently dumped at the location.
