Laron Powell, a 42-year-old African American man, was tragically killed on June 15, 2022, in the Austin neighborhood on Chicago's West Side. Powell was inside a vehicle around 6:05 p.m. in the 5200 block of West Kamerling Avenue when he was shot multiple times in the head, back, and arm.
