Pierce Curry, a 17-year-old male, was fatally shot on August 27, 2013, in Chicago's Washington Park neighborhood. He was one of the numerous victims of the drive-by shootings that plagued Chicago during a particularly violent year. Curry was riding in the backseat of a car when a vehicle pulled alongside and an unknown assailant opened fire. He was struck in the head and succumbed to his injuries shortly afterward.
