Michael Hence, a 13-year-old African American boy from Chicago, IL, tragically lost his life on November 17, 2022. Michael was found with gunshot wounds to his neck and chest in the Roseland neighborhood, specifically in the 11400 block of South Calumet Avenue. He was transported to the University of Chicago's Comer Children's Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
