In the fall of 1974, the city of Cordele, Georgia, was rocked by a violent crime that would leave a lasting mark on the community. On October 21st, a 55-year-old white male named William Culpepper was at his job as a clerk at a local liquor store. His day, however, took a tragic turn when a man entered the establishment with the intent to rob it.
