Sherry Elizabeth Lyons-Williams, a 39-year-old African American female, tragically lost her life on April 4, 2001, in Atlanta, Georgia. She was an investigator with the Atlanta Police Department's narcotics division and had served the department for 13 years. On the day of her death, Lyons-Williams was attempting to serve a search warrant at a suspected drug house alongside another officer.
