Aretha Clements, a 61-year-old African American woman, was found dead on March 6, 1986. She was one of several victims in a series of brutal crimes targeting elderly women in Atlanta, Georgia. Clements was sexually assaulted and strangled, and her body was wrapped in a sheet. Her television and wallet were missing from her home, suggesting that robbery may have been a motive in the attack.
