Kasi Peek, a 44-year-old woman from Smyrna, Georgia, was tragically found dead on October 2, 2005. Kasi, who was a computer programmer for Matria Health Care, was discovered shot to death in her bed. The scene appeared to be staged to look like a burglary, as dresser drawers were pulled out, but no valuable items were missing. This led investigators to suspect that the crime was personal and not a random act of violence.
