In the quiet suburbs of Smyrna, Georgia, a shocking discovery was made on October 2, 2005. Kasi Alane Peek, a 44-year-old female computer programmer, was found deceased in her bed, the victim of a fatal gunshot wound. The scene initially appeared to be a burglary gone wrong, with dresser drawers pulled out in an attempt to stage a break-in.
