Shuyi Li, a 28-year-old Chinese national from Guangdong Province, tragically lost her life on September 18, 2017, in Smyrna, Georgia. Li, who had earned her Master’s Degree from Georgia Tech in 2016, was found dead in her apartment on Willington Shoals Place. Her body was discovered wrapped in a blanket and partially buried under a mound of spices and other items. The cause of death was determined to be multiple sharp-force and blunt-force wounds to her head and neck.
