In the quiet town of Smyrna, Georgia, a tragic discovery brought a sense of unease to a peaceful neighborhood. Kathy Harper, a 50-year-old woman, was found dead in her home on October 7, 2005. The unsettling scene was uncovered after a neighbor, concerned by a foul odor emanating from the residence, alerted the police.
