In a tragic and ironic twist of fate, Wael Ali, a 25-year-old Black male, lost his life on November 2, 2013, in the Atlanta, Georgia area, his own story forever entwined with a history of family tragedy. His death came not as a result of a violent street crime, but in a moment of misguided curiosity inside a Marietta restaurant.
