On the evening of April 19, 2024, 31-year-old African American male Tabari Shakir Walters was fatally shot in a double shooting incident at the Retreat at Greenbriar apartments on Greenbriar Parkway in southwest Atlanta, Georgia. The Atlanta Police Department responded to the scene around 8:30 p.m., where they found Tabari Walters deceased and his brother critically injured. The incident reportedly stemmed from a conflict between the two brothers and another group, escalating into gunfire.
