Black/African American male Darrien “DJ” Jackson, 18, was shot on the night of Monday, June 30, 2025, at the 33Ninety Apartments on Fairburn Road SW in southwest Atlanta. Officers responded around 9 p.m. and found the 18-year-old with at least one gunshot wound. He was rushed to a hospital in critical condition and later died. By July 3, the Fulton County Medical Examiner publicly identified him as Darrien Jackson, confirming the victim’s age and the date of the shooting.
