On September 22, 2013, 20-year-old African American male Derrick Lee Benning Jr. was fatally shot in Atlanta, Georgia. The incident occurred while Derrick Jr. Benning and a friend were walking from an apartment complex. The Atlanta Police Department sought information regarding the murder of Derrick Jr. Benning.
