In the late summer of 2024, a violent encounter in a northwest Atlanta apartment complex parking lot cut short the life of 23-year-old Marques Jenkins. On August 6th, Atlanta police officers were called to the Mark at West Midtown apartment complex in the Loring Heights neighborhood, where they discovered Jenkins in a gray Jeep, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, including one to the head.
