On August 16, 2014, May Araim, a 68-year-old Iraqi-American woman from Houston, Texas, was tragically killed in Helen, Georgia. The incident occurred when Glenn Lampien, a 53-year-old man from Jasper, Georgia, accidentally discharged his small-caliber handgun while sitting on a bench on Helen's Main Street.
