Kamarri Cutty Lewis, a 2-year-old African American boy, tragically died on September 8, 2014, in Stone Mountain, Georgia. The incident occurred while Kamarri was under the care of his aunt, Alexia Thomas, 23, who was supposed to be babysitting him while his mother was at work. Unfortunately, Thomas admitted to police that she was asleep at the time of the incident. Kamarri was found with a single gunshot wound, and it was initially believed that he may have accidentally shot himself.
