Alexander Arcides Lara-Ayala, a 35-year-old man from Smyrna, Georgia, was found dead on February 25, 2015, in a wooded area off Ivey Road near Vinings Vintage Drive in Mableton, Georgia. His body was discovered at approximately 2:15 p.m., and the Cobb County police quickly determined that his death was a homicide. The exact cause of death was not immediately clear, but the circumstances surrounding the discovery of his body led investigators to treat the case as a murder.
