In a quiet neighborhood in Hiram, Georgia, a domestic dispute between two brothers culminated in a tragic death. On the evening of June 29, 2015, police responded to a call about a person being shot at a residence on Watts Road. Upon their arrival at approximately 7:30 p.m., officers discovered 46-year-old Joseph Norman Duguay, a white male, deceased from an apparent gunshot wound to his chest.
The initial investigation pointed to a domestic-related incident involving Joseph and his older brother. The suspect, identified as 51-year-old Ronald Duguay Jr., was apprehended by authorities as he attempted to leave the scene of the shooting.
Following the incident, Ronald Duguay Jr. was taken into custody. He was subsequently charged with the murder of his brother, Joseph Norman Duguay. The Hiram Police Department, in collaboration with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Paulding County Sheriff's Office, conducted the investigation into the fatal shooting. Ronald Duguay Jr. was held at the Paulding County Jail without bond.
