In the summer of 2015, a tragedy struck the community of Waynesboro, Georgia, with the death of Samuel D. Freeman, a 30-year-old African American male. On the evening of July 1st, at approximately 10:00 p.m., Freeman was on the 800 block of Cedar Street when he was shot multiple times.
