Christopher Starks, a 22-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on August 27, 2015, in the student union building at Savannah State University in Savannah, Georgia. Starks, a junior and football player at the university, was involved in an altercation that escalated into a deadly shooting. He was taken to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
