JaMecca Smith, a 6-year-old African American girl, tragically died on November 28, 2015, in Atlanta, GA. The incident occurred when JaMecca found a loaded handgun hidden between the cushions of a couch in her father's apartment. While playing with the gun, she accidentally shot herself, leading to her untimely death.
