On December 11, 2015, Dempsey Williams, a 52-year-old African American male, was found dead in his residence at 814 Turkey Drive, Adel, GA. Officers from the Adel Police Department responded to a report of a shooting and discovered Williams inside the home suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported to Cook Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) was called in to assist with the investigation.
