In the early hours of May 24, 2016, the life of 38-year-old Marcus Mandrell Scott, an African American man from Keysville, Georgia, was tragically cut short in Augusta. Scott was discovered inside his wrecked vehicle on the 2300 block of Old McDuffie Road, not from the impact of a crash, but from at least one gunshot wound. He was found slumped over the steering wheel of the car, which bore the tell-tale signs of the violence that had occurred, with bullet holes marking its exterior. At 2:45 a.m ...
