Alcides Ruben Washington, a 33-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on May 24, 2016, in Columbus, Georgia. Washington was shot in the head at his home on Stone Creek Court around 8 p.m. on the evening of May 24th. He was rushed to Midtown Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries at 2:49 a.m. the following morning. The incident was a result of an altercation involving a paintball gun, which escalated into a fatal shooting.
