Demetrius Daniels, a 26-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on April 11, 2021, in Columbus, Georgia. The incident occurred in the 4600 block of Reese Road, where Daniels was sitting on a porch with Rodney Daniels, who is not related to him. During this time, a black Nissan Altima drove by, and the passenger fired 17 shots, one of which struck Demetrius Daniels, resulting in his death. The victim was pronounced dead at St. Francis Emergency Room shortly after the shooting.
