In the late hours of a Sunday evening in Savannah, Georgia, the life of Reginald Washington, a 43-year-old African American male, was tragically cut short. On August 21, 2016, in the 300 block of West 37th Street, officers responded to a call and found Washington suffering from a gunshot wound. He was rushed to Memorial University Medical Center, but tragically succumbed to his injuries the following day, on August 22, 2016.
The Savannah Police Department quickly classified the case as a homicide and launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting. Despite their efforts, the case has grown cold over the years. To date, no arrests have been made, and no suspects have been publicly identified in connection with the murder of Reginald Washington.
