On the night of February 17, 2016, James Lamara Johnson, 37, was killed in Savannah, Georgia, in a shooting on the 1300 block of Church Street. Police said officers were called to the area at about 10:40 p.m. after reports of gunfire, and when they arrived they found Johnson dead at the scene.
