On February 17, 2016, James Lamara Johnson, 37, was shot and killed in Savannah, Georgia. The incident occurred around 10:40 p.m. on Church Street. When officers arrived at the scene, they found Johnson deceased from gunshot wounds. Witnesses described the suspect as a thin, dark-skinned Black male, approximately 5'9", in his late teens or early twenties, wearing a gray jacket over a black long-sleeve shirt.
