In the fall of 2016, the life of 16-year-old Samyah Copeland was tragically cut short in what police determined to be a murder-suicide. Copeland, a student at Riverdale High School, was found deceased from gunshot wounds inside a home on Montego Circle in Riverdale, Georgia, on the evening of Monday, October 3, 2016. The grim discovery was made by a family member of the suspect.
