Sijeria Parks, a 19-year-old African American woman from Riverdale, GA, tragically lost her life on July 14, 2019, in what authorities described as a "robbery gone bad." The incident occurred at an apartment complex on Chase Ridge Drive around 9:30 p.m. According to the Clayton County Sheriff's Office, Sijeria Parks had met a man on Instagram and arranged for him to come to her apartment.
