Dominique Horton, a 22-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on January 5, 2017, in Columbus, Georgia. The incident occurred outside an apartment complex on 32nd Avenue, where a large group had gathered to watch a fight between two female juveniles. During the altercation, gunfire erupted, resulting in Dominique Horton being fatally shot near a row of mailboxes at the complex. Another man was also injured in the shooting.
