Nekoe Phillips, a 26-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on February 2, 2021, in Columbus, Georgia. The incident occurred late at night on Ft. Benning Road, where Phillips was shot. He was transported to the hospital but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries. The Muscogee County Coroner, Buddy Bryan, confirmed that Phillips died from a gunshot wound.
