In the winter of 2017, the quiet community of Waynesboro, Georgia, was shaken by a violent home invasion that claimed the life of 64-year-old Eddie Louis Grubbs. On the evening of January 23rd, two men forced their way into a residence on River Road, opening fire and forever altering the lives of those inside. Grubbs, along with 65-year-old Marshall Jordan, were fatally wounded in the attack. A third man, Walter Smith, who was 65 at the time, was also shot but survived his injuries.
