Montez Vernita Smith Bacon, a 64-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life on March 3, 2017, in Fleming, Georgia. Born on July 22, 1952, in Jesup, Georgia, Montez was a longtime resident of Midway, Georgia, and was well-known in her community. She was a dedicated employee at Walmart in Hinesville and was deeply loved by her family and friends.
