Nakita Holland, a 36-year-old African American woman, was tragically found dead in her home in Carrollton, Georgia, on July 5, 2015. Nakita, who was eight months pregnant, was discovered by her sister, Syconda Walker, in her bedroom. The scene was particularly harrowing as Nakita's 2-year-old daughter was found alive beside her mother's body.
